The Vans Sunny Day Old Skool Tapered VR3 sneakers are a deconstructed version of the iconic Sidestripe design. They feature a slimmer, more fitted silhouette than the traditional Old Skool. These classic low-top sneakers also come equipped with the signature rubber waffle outsole and an all-over print. In order to reduce Vans’ overall footprint, our team has set ambitious sustainability goals. In line with this sustainability commitment, the VR3 midsole in this model is made with at least 25% bio-based EVA foam, some of which is derived from plant-based sources. All of our efforts, big or small, add up to the whole picture to create positive change. VR3 is Vans’ commitment that, by 2030, 100% of the four materials that generate the most CO2 emissions (cotton, leather, rubber, and polyester) will come from regenerative, renewable, responsibly sourced, or recycled sources.
